Tracey Johnson

Tracey Johnson is a leader in innovative tech sector support with many years of experience in the digital, technology and creative industries. She is Director of TECH SY, supporting tech businesses in South Yorkshire and developing a long-term plan for ecosystem growth on behalf of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. She previously developed Barnsley’s approach to tech sector growth and led the DMC, a landmark hub for the creative and digital industries and home to over 50 businesses. She has designed and led a range of programmes to support tech sector growth at regional and international level. The impact of this work has recently been recognised via a Centre for Cities report and the announcement of Barnsley as the UK’s first Tech Town by DSIT.

Tracey is a Board member of the College Subsidiaries ITS and Smartstyle. She is also the Link Governor for Safeguarding, Prevent and Wellbeing.
